ABOUT DR. DENNIS HAMEL D.C., C.S.C.S

DR. DENNIS HAMEL was born and raised in Andover, MA and has been caring for Merrimack Valley residents since 2000. Dr. Hamel attended Central Catholic H.S. in Lawrence, MA went on to attend Ithaca College graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science in 1994. Dr. Hamel then went on to attend The National College of Chiropractic (now known as the National University of Health Sciences) where he completed four years of study and internship in order to earn both his Bachelor of Science degree in Human Biology and Doctorate of Chiropractic graduating in 1999.  During his internship,

Dr. Hamel completed rotations at the National College of Chiropractic, Edgewater Hospital, and Salvation Army Clinics in downtown Chicago, IL.  During that time, Dr. Hamel earned a post-graduate degree in Cox Flexion/Distraction, a treatment protocol used for low back pain as well as becoming a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (C.S.C.S.) by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).

Dr. Hamel specializes in the non-surgical conservative treatment of conditions affecting the muscles, tendons, joints, and nerves of the body. Treatments are individualized depending upon the severity, the particular nature of the problem, the individual's response to care, and possible underlying conditions that may affect their response to care.

He believes in using only the latest research-supported treatment methods in helping his patients eliminate pain and return to normal function.
